Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying, recruiting and securing sales of Club Car light duty utility, transportation, and low speed vehicles at institutions of higher education (colleges and universities) within their assigned market.This position will lead sales and drive marketing efforts at colleges and universities in collaboration with the channel, sales, marketing, and product management teams. The BDM will also be responsible for developing existing customers, obtaining new business, and creating of standard processes to secure business through an independent distribution channel.

Responsibilities:

·Support the independent channel within assigned area of responsibility.

·Develop and maintain relationships with associations related to the management and procurement of utility and transportation vehicles at colleges and universities.

·Leverage segment specific programs and strategies to drive results within market.

·Communicate performance metrics and program information to all channel partners.

·Develop and train channel sales team on acquisition process, and be the resident segment expert.

Qualifications:

·Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive program specifics, deliver goals and problem solve and present alternative options.

·Proven ability to influence others that are not direct reports to achieve desired outcomes.

·Experience making presentations and selling to existing or new customers.

·Proven ability to manage pipeline and manage time effectively.

·Being self-motivated with both the ability to work independently and with a team.

·Proven results in an indirect selling model through channel.

·Proficiency at defining problems, collecting / analyzing data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions that lead to win-win solutions.

·Four-year BA/BS degree

·4 years of sales and/or marketing experience within higher education is a plus.

·4 years’ experience managing program development and administration.

·Overall knowledge utility and transportation vehicle distribution and dealer sales.

·30% travel.

Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:

- DUI in the previous 5 years

- Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions within the previous 3 years.
