Headquartered in Augusta, Georgia with distribution spanning the globe, Club Car is pleased to announce the following Advanced Manufacturing Engineering internship opportunity.

Selected interns will complete a 3 to 6 month assignment supporting the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team.

In the assigned position, selected interns receive day to day direction from the functional manager and Senior AMEs while receiving ongoing mentoring from functional partners and Engineering Services Leader. In addition to gaining hands on experience in the assigned function, selected interns assume project management responsibility for improvement opportunities in the assigned area. Examples of projects include:

Designing layouts for new processes and equipment to accommodate new product development implementation to the production lines.

  • Developing Visual Sequence of Events to support new product launch and process improvement initiatives.
  • Developing PFMEA and Control Plan for production process changes
  • Assisting with Manufacturing Assessment and Validation Builds and coordinating FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Corrective Actions System) activities.
  • Project Management on process improvement initiatives.

Under the direction of the AME Manager, selected interns will also examine existing AME functional processes to identify and recommend additional improvements.

Requirements & Success Factors

Sophomore or above pursuing Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering curriculum.

Overall 2.8 GPA or above

Demonstrated leadership skills(minimum of one example in the last four years such as: school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership of work projects)

Learning agility – able to understand and refine project business improvement opportunities, apply logic and problem solving tools to maximize outcomes.

Intellectual curiosity – demonstrated history/example of clever observations coupled with a willingness to propose innovative solutions to business opportunities.

Work ethic – previous work experience demonstrating a consistent work pace and persistence to achieve desired outcomes.
