Requirements:

·Performsall mechanical assembly operations of sub-assemblies and package assembly, allsensitive and very detailed assembly operations, some electrical,instrumentation and control elements of the package, and functional test set upincluding in-process quality checks and tests.

·Performsdisassembly and rebuild of air ends, or sensitive rotating assemblies.

·Readsand interprets engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions,bills of material, and quality control documents.

·Takesresponsibility for quality and work content performed in the applicableoperation by signing off on the appropriate documentation prior to indexing tothe next step in process.

·Insuresthat all tools used in performing job duties are within calibration, as statedon calibration sticker. Where discrepancies arise, immediate notification ofsupervisor occurs.

·Performsjob duties with limited supervision.

·Maintainsclean, orderly, and safe work area and follow all safety rules andprocedures.

·Identifies safety concerns and drives forsuccessful resolution.

·Assistsin the training of other department personnel as required.

·Usesproblem solving skills (identify problems and respond correctly). Shall be capable of performing disassemblyand rebuild of air ends, or sensitive rotating assemblies

·Exhibitsa high degree of manual dexterity with great attention to detail andworkmanship

·Useof calipers, dial, indicators, precision measuring devices.

·Participatesin departmental projects, as needed (ex. Lean initiatives, restructuring thecell layout, continuous improvement).

Qualifications / Skills:

·Strongproblem solving skills (identify problems and respond correctly).

·Abilityto read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, assemblyinstructions, bills of material and quality control documents.

·Abilityto use correct tooling, fixturing and equipment to perform work tasks toengineering specifications.

·Abilityto function in a flexible team environment.

·Minimumof one year experience with assembly of equipment requiring a high degree ofprecision.
