Job Summary:

The Golf Sales Manager will be responsible for theachievement of targeted golf car and utility vehicle sales, margin, market share, and customer satisfaction within the assigned geographic territory.This role will give the right candidate the opportunity to grow their career within Ingersoll Rand’s winning culture.


  • Focuses on achieving the profit plan for the assigned profit center and monthly monitoring of financial statements to ensure accuracy of sales numbers, margins, expenses and overall profitability.
  • Manages the activities of the sales team to ensure all potential sales become final and prescribed sales volume/profit margins are maintained. Approves all orders and customer proposals.
  • Performs marketing and competitive analyses for assigned territory and accounts.
  • Ensures proper paperwork is prepared in an accurate and timely manner to assure golf and utility vehicles will be manufactured and delivered according to customer specifications.
  • Focuses on achieving the profit plan for the assigned profit center and monthly monitoring of financial statements to ensure accuracy of sales numbers, margins, expenses and overall profitability.
  • Monitors the success of each Turf dealer in assigned territory to assure vehicles are being promoted effectively, to assist dealers in developing sales and promotional plans to assure utility vehicle unit objectives are met.
  • Use sales automation to accurately communicate information.
  • Develop annual operational plan for each territory including projected sales, market share, operational expenses, and capital requirements.
  • Interview and make hiring recommendations, plan and assigns work, monitor and evaluate performance, and counsel sales team.
  • Assist customers and dealers with problems and/or complaints; researches claims and identifies acceptable solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop team members through mentoring and coaching to ensure continued individual development.
  • Lead sales team with the Ingersoll Rand Sales Management Excellence Program (IRSMX).
  • Build industry relationships within local markets including PGA Sections, Club Managers Associations, and Superintendent Associations and participation in related local events to support relationship growth


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 of sales and/or sales management experience
  • Golf sales experience strongly preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:

  • DUI in the previous 5 years

  • Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
