SUMMARY:

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the FP&L LA organization for Ingersoll Rand and play a key role in providing analytical and business decision support to drive financial forecasts, operating budgets and strategic goals. This role will compile and review annual budgets, generate forecasts, analyze trends in performance, capital activity, and operating expenses. In addition, this position will have the opportunity to interact with a variety of key leaders across the company including: Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Operations and Finance Leaders, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, analyze, and/or modify financial plans, which include the monthly forecast, risks & opportunities, annual operating plan (AOP) and long-term strategic plans (LRP).

Prepare and deliver monthly cost center reporting and analysis to Controllers and Director.

Manage and perform month-end close activities such as accruals, reclass entries, JE entries; ensuring accuracy and timeliness, in accordance with Ingersoll Rand financial controls and accounting policies (FICAP).

Develop tools for early identification of financial issues and make recommendations for resolution.

Drive business process improvement through automation and/or the development of standard work.

Determine new offerings and enhancements, sustainment, or retiring of existing reports and tools.

Responsible for monthly deliverables such as: Bridge, deep analysis, tracker control, balance sheet analysis, meeting review.

QUALICATION:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting related field required.

Finance analyst experience in a matrix organization.

Experience with financial reporting cycles, such as forecasts, budgets (AOP), P&L and Balance sheet analysis.

Solid financial acumen, analytical, problem solving, data management, and business partnership skills.

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, summarize and communicate the key messages simply and succinctly to team members at all levels of the organization.

Collaborative team player with process improvement mind set

Strong organization and time management skills; able to handle several assignments at one time while working in a matrix organization.

Quick learner, with the personal drive and motivation to achieve goals with limited oversight and direction.

Demonstrated leadership capability and proactivity.

Solid Proficiency of Microsoft Word and Excel. VBA and Accesses will be differential.

Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and Oracle BI will be differential.

Advanced English and Spanish will be considered as a Plus.
