Job Summary:

Accelerated Development Programs (ADPs) provide recent college graduates with challenging assignments, leadership training and valuable exposure to our company's senior leaders. Through rotations and experiences in multiple geographic and business locations, our ADPs enable you to build diverse skill sets and a strong foundation for a successful and fulfilling career with Ingersoll Rand.

We are looking for performance-driven, innovative leaders who understand the importance of collaboration and customer focus. We offer an Accelerated Development Program that consists of a 12-month product line assignment, an additional 12 to 18-month project based assignment and an opportunity for a 6-month cross-functional experience. These assignments are strategically chosen to ensure continuous learning and personal development.While on program, Engineering ADPs will develop a solid engineering foundation with skills in key areas including: New Product Development, Engineering Analysis, FMEA & DFMEA, Value Analysis/Value Engineering, Six Sigma, Product, Component and Reliability Testing, Technical Communication and Voice of Customer Analysis.


  • BS/BA degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Overall 3.0 GPA or above
  • Prior work experience with Ingersoll Rand is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (minimum of two examples such as: school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership of work projects)
  • Work experiences (minimum of two degree related internships or six months of related experience)
  • Willing and able to be mobile and relocate (anywhere in the United States) multiple times
  • Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly
  • Motivation to reach higher levels within the company at an accelerated rate
